CBF Mentor

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop training needs and specifications as a result of assessments carried out through the CBF process. Continuously monitor the progress of each employee and report on individual’s progress.
  • Further develop the CBF to enhance its scope and capability in the spirit of continuous improvement as a result of feedback and operational experience gained from ongoing assessments with input from management.
  • Evaluate the CBF system when new policies and procedures are put into place and as such make relevant changes to the CBF to ensure the program is meeting the changing needs of the company.
  • Spend one on one time with each employee to assess the strengths and weaknesses of each and to lay out a go forward line of progression and training for each employee.
  • Mentoring and assisting each employee as required.
  • Ability to research, source and conduct training in a wide variety of disciplines as required for defined topics with the application of the CBF program.
  • Ensure completion of all employee assessments in a timely manner and inform supervisors and management of personnel progress and short comings.
  • Ensure management is knowledgeable and confident in the operation of the CBF so employees and Company gain the full benefit of the CBF process.
  • Support Operations Supervisors and management in the ongoing assessments of operations personnel with in the CBF to ensure all staff are performing at an optimum level of competency.
  • Continually source courses for all staff which will provide internationally recognized certifications within their respective fields.

Requirements:

  • Full knowledge of the principals of CBF systems, training requirements, application and development.
  • Previous experience mentoring and training in a CBF process.
  • Must have worked in a multinational, multi-cultural, multi-religious, remote environment. 
  • Capable of assessing training needs and assisting and encouraging operations staff to develop their technical skills.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing and utilities systems.
  • Proven experience in safe and efficient management within the Petro-chemical industry.
  • Degree or degree equivalent in an appropriate oil and gas discipline.
  • Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Full verbal and written understanding of English.
  • Ability to research, source and conduct training in a wide variety of disciplines as required for defined topics with the application of the CBF program.
  • Exhibit cultural awareness and be able to develop National staff.

Working Conditions:

Office based role with a rotation of 5/5 .
