Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and take corrective actions to improve the stability and performance of systems running in the production environment.
- Be able to identify issues within existing systems and monitor the performance or system issues.
- Familiarity with different operating systems and cloud computing platforms
- Participating in the day-to-day tasks of the IT virtualization environment systems administration and operational procedures.
- Participate in the implementation and management of disaster recovery plans that will protect and preserve system and user information in the event of unforeseen failures.
- Accommodate new projects/services in a virtual/physical environment according to planned/available capacity.
- Responsible for upgrading the virtualization environment, hosts, and operating system.
- Responsible for applying security patches on the systems including but not limited to the OS, hosts, storage, vSphere components, and backup devices.
- Code software/programs in response to system deficiencies
- Report the status update, issue, and solution to the manager.
- Write clear documentation for system inventory, project, and HLD, LLD.
- Continuous improvement of the current system and new system and apply new technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BSCS) or Computer Engineering (BS Comp. Eng.) or in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar field.
- Language skills, English is a must, and Kurdish & Arabic are a plus.
- Experience Linux/Windows server administration. Certification is a plus
- Experience in deploying, maintaining, and monitoring applications on Linux or Windows systems
- Experience in application performance analysis
- Experience with application and system monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix)
- Experience in writing scripts for automating tasks
- Knowledge of backup and storage systems
- Experience supporting various vSphere components (vCenter & ESXi)
- To be able to work as part of a team and willing to work under pressure.
- Self-motivated and have a passion for quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to adapt to change.
Working Conditions:
Office-based, 5 days/ week, 8 hours/day.
