Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze
production costs, including raw materials, Labor, and overhead, to
identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor
and report cost variances, explain deviations from budgeted costs, and control costs.
- Maintain accurate records of raw materials,
work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory.
- Assist
in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts related to production
costs and provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
- Work
closely with the production team to determine cost drivers and improve
cost allocation methodologies.
- Implement
inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure efficient stock
levels.
- Identify
areas for process improvement in manufacturing operations to enhance cost
efficiency, and suggest and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare
and distribute reports related to production costs and performance
metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s
degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.
- 3+
years’ working experience as a Cost Accountant, preferably in a
manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Kurdish fluency with advanced skills in the English language, and knowledge in
Arabic language is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Office-Based, 5 days /week, 9 hours/day.
