Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all field-related HSE activities are being conducted to the highest safety and industrial standards for safe and reliable operation and production.
- Ensuring that all field-related HSE targets, objectives, and KPIs are met.
- Follows and promotes the HSE Culture towards Safety First and continuous improvement.
- Conducts both, daily and planned activities.
- Conducts inspections and audits.
- Supports incident investigations in line with the company's procedures.
- Liaises with all referring operational staff.
- Ensures regular, accurate, and timed reporting to the Production HSE Supervisor.
- Supports the improvement of the HSE Management System, including all related documentation and tools.
- Raises HSE awareness and behavior within all field-related operations.
- Conducts HSE training of all operational staff and others assigned by the Production HSE Supervisor.
- Capability to lead safety meetings and promote a safety-first culture.
- Conducts and attends safety meetings, toolbox talks, pre-shift meetings, etc. of all operational staff and all operational activities.
- Ensures maintenance and operability of HSE equipment for 100% uptime.
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field.
- Formal HSE training as IOSH/NEBOSH certificate or similar.
- Minimum 5 years in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry with HSE capability in operational and technical aspects.
- Hands-on experience in implementing HSE in oil and gas production facilities, at well sites, rig sites, and associated equipment and assets.
- Conversant with international HSE standards such as IOGP and HSE UK.
- Operational HSE tools such as TRAs, JSAs, PtW, and HSE Plans.
- Comprehensive understanding of HSE policies and procedures.
- Has an understanding of HSE Management and related tools.
- Has an understanding of the Management of Change (MoC) process.
- Has an understanding of Root Cause Analysis.
- Has an understanding of Incident investigation tools such as BSCAT, Kelvin Top Set, or similar.
- Has an understanding of Emergency and Crisis Management.
- Has the ability to independently produce HSE-related documentation.-
- Is capable of leading people.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Kurdish (spoken and written).
- Must have good interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively and constructively in a dynamic and changing work environment, both individually and as part of the HSE team.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs.
- Adequate organization skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work activities effectively.
- Adequate presentation and training skills.
- Must be a team player.
