Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Upholding the company's HSE policy and procedures within the company's system.
- Managing Instrument and Control design contractors to ensure the scopes meet all the operation's technical requirements.
- Leading other members of the Instrument Discipline within the company and providing Instrument technical expertise to other disciplines when required
- Instrument discipline manpower planning
- Instrument and Control OT Cyber Security knowledge
- Planning of Instrument and Control engineering and design scopes and reporting on progress to line management.
- A full understanding of the requirements of international standards of instrumentation and control
- Preparation of technical specifications, scopes of work, inspection and test requirements, and material requisitions.
- Technical evaluation of vendor quotations including preparation of technical bid comparisons.
- Assisted with the preparation of project plans, schedules, equipment cost estimation, and status reports.
- Ensuring Instrument and control scopes and equipment are delivered in compliance with the specified technical requirements, within the agreed schedule and approved budget to achieve its successful transition into operation.
- In-depth knowledge of Process Safety, and the qualitative and quantitative methods
- Review and comment on vendor documentation, compilation of comments from other disciplines.
- Participate in inspections and testing of the Instrument and control equipment
- Finalization of final vendor documentation.
- Participating in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessment, and Design Reviews
- Specify and order bulk materials for instrument scopes
- Prior experience with an Operator is desirable.
Job Description - Senior Instrument Engineer
- Solid experience of ICSS, PLC systems, Fire and Gas Systems, Process instrumentation, Control Valves,
ESDVs, Wellhead Control Panels, Hydraulic Control Systems, and Oil Metering, compressor controls
- Experience in working with High H2S
- Training and coaching of Kurdish engineers
Requirements:
- A minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience of design and Construction of C&I activities
- Good communication and ability to work as part of a multi-discipline and multi-cultural team. Ability to work with
hard reporting lines and dotted-line responsibilities.
- Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
- Computer literate and knowledgeable in relevant Codes and Specifications.
- Essential to have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
- Qualified to Degree level or equivalent
- Chartered engineer preferred
