Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Iraqi unified accounting or IFRS.
- Ensure accurate and timely closing of financial periods.
- Develop and maintain standard costing systems for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and report root causes and corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory valuation, reconcile inventory accounts, and participate in physical stock counts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Provide management with financial insights to support strategic decisions.
- Monitor departmental budgets and support cost control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and corporate policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Manage ERP/accounting system implementations or upgrades.
- Streamline accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with operations, procurement, and supply chain to align financial processes with business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s
degree, Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s, CPA, or CMA
preferred).
- 5+
years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3
years in a supervisory role—preferably in a manufacturing or industrial
environment.
- Strong
knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing finance.
- Proficiency
in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Solid
understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations.
- Kurdish
fluency with advanced communication skills in English or Arabic
Working Conditions:
5 days/week, starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
