Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Upholding the company's HSE policy, procedures, and culture within the company.
- Managing all aspects of safety and delivery associated with the pre-fabrication, construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities across all disciplines.
- Delivery of construction tasks safely and in accordance with the baseline schedule.
- Arranging and managing subcontractors who undertake the prefabrication, assembly, and construction in the company's facilities.
- Plan and review workload for all the company's construction personnel.
- Provide Constructability inputs by reviewing the design and engineering deliverables.
- Ensure materials are available in accordance with the schedule and meet the “Required on Site” Dates.
- Performing reviews of MTOs.
- Coordinating with the engineering team to initiate the purchase of necessary materials.
- Review of work packs prior to being issued for construction to subcontractors.
- Plan and follow installation schedules within the overall baseline schedule.
- Implementing the requirements of the Company’s PTW System and Risk assessments.
- Supervising fabrication and installation contractors to ensure work site preparation and efficiency in execution.
- Ensure that manhours and cost are in accordance with the CONTRACT for contractor remuneration.
- Coordinate with the Contractor to ensure that necessary personnel and resources are available to ensure the timely completion of construction works.
- Ensure that the construction works meet the Quality standards.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC Manager to ensure that QA/QC checks are in place to meet the Quality standards.
- Ensure that work is completed in accordance with the latest documentation.
- Provide timely completion of any raised punch items.
- Completion of “as-built” drawings.
- Managing and maintaining the Construction Camp and day-to-day Operations.
Requirements:
- A technically recognised Qualification.
- A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
- Significant experience in oil and gas construction.
- Hands-on experience of construction activities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team. Ability to work with hard reporting lines and dotted-line responsibilities.
- Fluent in the English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
- Computer literate and knowledgeable in relevant Codes and Specifications.
- Experience in the design and installation of large and small-bore piping fabrication.
- Self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to develop and motivate Teams.
- Good communication and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Supervising and mentoring junior local staff members as required.
- Experience in working with High H2S.
- Training and coaching of Kurdish engineers.
Working Conditions:
Field Base-Rotational.
