Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update employee master data in payroll systems.
- Prepare, verify, and process payroll for all employee
types (monthly, rotational, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, employment
contracts, local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory deductions.
- Maintain payroll records, timekeeping data, and
documentation in alignment with audit and data retention policies.
- Track and administer employee benefits such as
insurance, allowances, and field-related payments.
- Review and reconcile payroll data from timekeeping
systems, HRIS, and employee files.
- Generate and distribute monthly payroll reports (cost
summaries, leave summaries, etc.).
- Address payroll inquiries from employees and resolve
discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide employees with guidance on pay-related
matters, including taxes, deductions, and benefits-related earnings.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to finalise transfers
and final payments.
- Liaise with government agencies or external vendors
related to payroll services, tax filing, and social security
contributions.
- Support the HR team in managing personnel files,
digital records, and document control processes.
- Support new hire onboarding by setting up payroll
profiles and verifying compensation components.
- Support in HR projects such as compensation benchmarking, employee engagement surveys, or workforce analytics.
- Support annual performance review cycles by validating salary review and bonus eligibility data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or HR.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll processing is a
must.
- Preference will be given to Oil and Gas experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax laws,
and social security compliance.
- Experience using payroll or HRIS systems (e.g., SAP,
Oracle, etc.).
Working Conditions:
Location: Erbil Office with Field visits.
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday.
